Million Plus

The review report needs to be carefully considered by government, but the huge gaps in information, the risks that are baked in to the proposals, as well as a simply unworkable and unhelpful timescale mean that the only prudent course of action is to pause this initiative and re-set the consultation process to ensure the whole sector is able to shape the future, with a particular emphasis on the voices of schools. MillionPlus is committed to working with government to achieve its desired improvements, but only through working together is this a possibility. There are more pressing concerns than rearranging the architecture of the sector, and this will distract attention and resource away from tackling some of the issues that the ITT sector will face in a post-pandemic world.
