million+ comment on reports that Ministers are planning a Student loans overhaul

Commenting on reports that Ministers are planning to allow universities to raise fees if they cover some of the costs of student loans, Pam Tatlow, Chief Executive of the university think-tank million+, said:
“This would create a two tier university system and would be opposed by the majority of university Boards and Vice-Chancellors. It would deliver preferential funding to some universities and their students and is a recipe for inequality.”
