The university think-tank million+ have commented on the Higher Education Funding Council for England (hefce) report ‘Directions of travel: Transnational pathways into English higher education’. million+ have previously argued the case for the importance of developing transnational education in their research.
Pam Tatlow, Chief Executive, million+ said:
“Transnational students and the partnerships which universities in Britain have promoted with institutions overseas have been crucial to the success and reputation of UK higher education.
“It is in the long-term interests of the UK that transnational education has the support of all government departments and it would be disastrous if this was put at further risk in the increasingly fraught debate about immigration.”
