Professor Dave Phoenix, Vice-Chancellor of London South Bank University, and former Chair of MillionPlus, has warned about potential damage to HE/FE links from the proposed new TEF baseline measures in a piece for FE Week​.

"A TEF designed to improve teaching quality and new educational pathways should be seen as a positive development, and encourage HE-FE partnerships," he writes. 

"But the parallel development of non-benchmarked baselines has the potential to do the opposite. It could take us back to a place where higher education is for the privileged few."
