MillionPlus and the University of Highlands and Islands were mentioned very favourably during a debate on a proposed UK Shared Prosperity Fund in the House of Commons on Thursday 05 September. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has been proposed by Government as a mechanism to replace EU structural funding, currently worth £2.4 billion per year, after the UK has left the European Union. However details of how the scheme would work and the levels of funding available are still to be determined.
