London South Bank University and Anglia Ruskin University have been shortlisted for The Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship at the National Business Awards on 15 November.
This award recognises the work of universities to encourage, prepare and enable entrepreneurial opportunities, distinguishing those doing and delivering most. Last year the award went to the University of Leeds.
Gurpreet Jagpal, Director Research, Enterprise and Innovation at London South Bank University said: "We’re delighted to be one of the National Business Awards finalists. One of our key ambitions as a university is to support all of our students and alumni to achieve their entrepreneurial potential as business owners and as entrepreneurial employees. This nomination recognises the entrepreneurial support we provide to students and graduates across campus, whether that’s within curricula or through start-up programmes and workshops. The nomination reflects our collaborative approach to delivering enterprise support, harnessing expertise from across LSBU’s Schools and professional services, and working in partnership with our enterprise societies and SME partners."
