Pam Tatlow, Chief Executive, million+ was recently quoted in the Evening Standard commenting on the threat to Student Opportunity funding.
The Student Opportunity Allocation is similar to the pupil premium and is worth over £330 million a year. It has been warned that the proposed cuts could be up to 60% (nearly £220m).
She voices an increasing concern for the sector, that the universities who are doing most of the heavy lifting in social mobility appear to be the ones paying the price for the expansion of student numbers.
