Professor Michael Thorne, Vice-Chancellor, Anglia Ruskin University recently visited Chandigarh in India as part of their initiative South Asia Anglia Partnership (SAAP). Professor Thorne spoke to Hindustan Times about the internationalisation of higher education.
SAAP focuses on globalisation of the student learning experience and is a partnership that brings together Vice-Chancellors from universities in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the UK.
Professor Thorne states that South Asia, having a quarter of the world’s population has a demand for more universities and learning to boost its economies and development.
