Pam Tatlow, Chief Executive, MilionPlus will chair a session at the British Council's Going Global conference in Cape Town, South Africa on Wednesday 4 May.
Governments looking at system reform need to make choices – What are the mechanisms for driving system change? What is the balance between state objectives and autonomy for institutions?
Speakers include: Prof. Dr Saaid Amzazi, President, Mohammed V University-Rabat, Morocco; Prof. Osman Babury, Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Academic Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education, Afghanistan; and Dr Erik Bloom, Senior Economist, World Bank, USA.
On the same day, Pam will also attend a working dinner with colleagues focusing on the Syrian Refugee crisis and higher education, a chance to hear about the international effort in higher education in the MENA region, and to reflect on the UK position in relation to the growing crisis.
